I am fiddling with making blog backgrounds ... and probably doing it the wrong way ...
but this seems like a good place to put this so I can link to it to test it out ...
somehow I don't think it will work this way ... but we will see.
Later edit (the next night): it didn't work that way ... but I found a different way, which did work ... eventually ...
(as you may now be able to see - this blog has a fancy background ... unless you are reading this post a while after I wrote it/edited it and I have done something else to this blog instead - after all - it is called "Testing, testing ... 1 ... 2 ... 3" for that very reason!)

So how did you get that on the side? I've been trying to see a way, with no luck!
I was trying to put it in the background - where it is now ;-)
... found a photo that I took, did lots of fiddling to work out just how big I had to make the photo ... worked out that linking it to the one in this blog post didn't work ... created a photobucket account and put it there ... then stuck some html code (that I found instructions for on some scrapbooking type website that I found by following the link on a blog that had one of their backgrounds) in a widget in the side-bar ... I might see if I can find that website again and put the URL for the blog with the instructions (or explain how I did it maybe?) in the post I have half typed on my main blog - seeing I am just about to put this background there as well, now that I have worked out how to make it work - LOL
... I had better go do all that - I have run out of "evening" and I still want to go walk the dog! (it is a safe enough area here that I can do that at night ... besides - what rapist/axe murderer will be out and about at THIS hour? LOL)
